Since its establishment in 1939, the Division of Architectural Engineering (DAE) wants to lead in the nurturing of future-oriented and creative global leaders, and has produced about 9,000 competent graduates during the last 70 years. The 4-year architectural education course happened here, and was the first in Korea. With the vision being that of “Nurturing creative architectural engineering majors leading the world,” the DAE set out to develop a “competitive professional expertise,” a “creative
and comprehensive design ability,” and a “communication ability” as its education goals. Through quality curricular and various research activities, the DAE promotes strategic development with future-oriented science programs.

Graduates who have taken a leading role in the nation, and in social development in each sector, a world-class faculty, and students who have committed themselves with passion and a challenging spirit, are the driving force that has led to the development of the Division of Architectural Engineering. The DAE has created a world-class, specialized advanced program in architectural engineering, that was certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea (ABEEK). It is the only institute that was appointed to be a "Brain Korea 21 Project" in the architecture sector in Korea, and provides a more advanced educational environment, as well as more advanced programs.
