Seismic Engineering & Structural Dynamics Laboratory (SEED Lab) has been open since 1997 and has been actively conducting research activities to the present. Our laboratory is conducting research on the vibration of structures, structural analysis on extreme environmental loads such as earthquakes, performance evaluation, and development of performance design methods. In particular, it has state-of-the-art technology in the field of simple nonlinear analysis of earthquakes and performance evaluation of ultra-high-rise amorphous buildings, and has vibration stand experiments to evaluate structural and human vibrations.
<Main Research Areas>

- Structural performance evaluation under extreme load.
- Development of seismic design procedures based on performance.
- Interpretation and large-scale structural experiments to evaluate structural performance.
- Developing an approximate interpretation method for nonlinear systems.
- Calibration of existing design parameters based on reliability.
- Earthquake disaster, damage, risk assessment.
